Windthorst Lions Club
On February 4, 1974, the Windthorst & District Lions Club was formed. Lions Clubs sponsor and promote activities and activities in their communities.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Club Room in the Windthorst Recreation Centre at 8:00 pm.
Since its Charter Night in 1974, the Lions have been active in a great number of community activities. They have funded a number of community projects and initiatives.
The Windthorst & District Lions Club's president is Lion Bernard Steele.
Windthorst Knights of Columbus
Formed in 1954, the Knights of Columbus have always been very active and ready to support their Parish and community.
Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 pm in St. Pius Auditorium.
Windthorst Horticulture Society
In April 1954 the Windthorst Horticulture Society was formed. A horticulture show is held annually in August and provides friendly competition, serves to show what can be grown in our gardens and introduces new and recommended varieties of flowers, vegetables and fruit. The youth of the community are encouraged to take part with many growing their own gardens and entering several educational categories in the Horticulture Show.
Each year they hold a garden tour and try to have monthly meetings as well as extra flower shows.
Members share their surplus plants, shrubs and seeds at the annual sale in May. Local greenhouses and craftspeople also have booths at the May sale.
Members also maintain the community flower beds and pots around the Village. These members are known as “The Bloomers”.

Windthorst Friendship Centre
The Windthorst Friendship Circle was first organized in 1973. In September, 1974, the club purchased a former school and work began on renovations. On June 24, 1976 the official grand opening of the Centre was held.
The Friendship Centre is wheel chair accessible and offers a variety of programs for Seniors. On week days the Centre is open in the morning for coffee and games of pool.
The Centre has card tables, games, a shuffleboard, a piano, folding trestle tables and a pool table. The fully equipped kitchen allows for other groups to rent the facility for family gatherings, Christmas parties, etc.
