Windthorst is serviced by Broadview RCMP Detachment, which is staffed with 17 officers (including Kipling members and four Yorkton Traffic Service members) and three support staff. The detachment area includes: Whitewood, Broadview, Grenfell, Kennedy, Kipling, Windthorst, Peebles, Sakimay, Ochapowace, Kahkewisthaw, Cowessess and the RMs of Silverwood, Willowdale, Kingsley, Elcapo, Wawken, Hazelwood, Golden West and Chester. Windthorst Volunteer Fire Department consists of 21 community members who are able to respond to local fires and emergencies. Our Fire Hall is located on Angus St and houses a pumper truck and rescue van.
Our community also has 3 trained First Responders, to assist in local emergencies.
