Glover Bros. offers a full range of hardware and household items.

In 1906, Art and Chick Glover arrived in Windthorst to build and operate the firm of “Glover Bros.” Early letterheads and the sign on the west side of the store listed them as dealing in hardware and furniture, being Undertakers and operating a Tinsmith shop. The hardware was to occupy the store as it is today and the tinsmith shop was a one storey addition on the north end of the store. It was to be a full line hardware supplying all the needs of its customers and the tinsmith shop made everything from stove pipes to metal grain bins.

In 1915, a garage was added to the east side of the store and over the next 40 years, cars, trucks and machinery were sold and serviced. In the late 1950’s it was decided to quit the auto and machinery dealerships.

Three generations of the Glover family have operated and continue to operate the family business.
