On February 4, 1974, the Windthorst & District Lions Club was formed. Lions Clubs sponsor and promote activities in their communities.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Club Room in the Windthorst Recreation Centre at 8:00 pm.
Since its Charter Night in 1974, the Lions have been active in a great number of community activities. They have funded a number of community projects including minor baseball, minor hockey, purchase of fire equipment, the new arena building fund and purchase of the zamboni for the rink.
