The Windthorst Friendship Circle was first organized in 1973. In September, 1974, the club purchased a former school and work began on renovations. On June 24, 1976 the official grand opening of the Centre was held.
The Friendship Centre is wheel chair accessible and offers a variety of programs for Seniors. On week days the Centre is open in the morning for coffee and games of pool.
The Centre has card tables, games, a shuffleboard, a piano, folding trestle tables and a pool table. The fully equipped kitchen allows for other groups to rent the facility for family gatherings, Christmas parties, etc.
Rental rates: Morning – $50 Afternoon – $50 Evening – $50 All Day – $80 2 Hours or less (no meal) – $30
